A Greeting from the Governor

Greetings, prefectural residents of Okayama. My name is IBARAGI Ryuta, governor of Okayama Prefecture.

Using the “Third Land of Sunshine Iki-iki Plan” and its three priority initiatives, “Reclaiming our Status as the Education Prefecture”, “Promoting a Local-minded Industrial Environment” and “Cultivating an Economically Secure Environment”, as a compass to guide us, Okayama Prefectural Government is putting its utmost effort into implementing all of its initiatives in order to realize an “Iki-iki Okayama”, where all of the prefectural citizens can live soundly with a smile on their faces.

I would like to use the major societal changes brought forth by COVID-19 as an opportunity for regional development. On top of this, Okayama Prefecture is wholeheartedly working toward a step-by-step recovery from the flood that occurred on July 30th 2018, as well as sustainable development in connection with various cores and the prefectural citizens.

I hope to have your continued understanding and cooperation with prefectural government promotions.
