At the Okayama Institute of Quantum Physics, we conduct studies of quantum theory of light that are expected to form a foundation of advanced science and technology in the 21st century, and we endeavor to build a new quantum field theory. We also encourage research that connects the basic theory and practical studies of quantum physics.
By making full use of the basic ideas of quantum field theory, the study of light quanta has the potential to push the limits of advanced technologies, such as nanotechnology, life science and information technology.
The research of light quanta should bring us the following:
Vacuum breaking by strong photon fields
Creating materials with high density light quantum energy
Instantaneous transfer of materials by quantum teleportation
Quantum engines composed of superdense light quanta
Clarifying the origin of life through measurement of soft light quantum aggregates
Such studies are expected to allow for great progress in combating social problems in such areas as health care, the environment and information technology.
